This winter has been terrible! Freezing temperatures, sleet, snow, wind that cuts through every layer of clothing you have on. There were very few breaks where we could actually venture outside to enjoy the weather. March 1 was a day the Lord smiled on us! He sent amazing weather- a beautiful peek at spring! So we loaded up in our van and met some friends for a picnic at the park.
My precious friend Megan, her husband, and their son met us at a park in Frisco. This park was amazing! I have no issues at all saying that I love playgrounds. I love swings, laughter, soaking up the sun. I just love how everyone seems to be in a good mood at parks- smiles all around- except that kid who is sad because he has to leave!
Kate went on her first swing- assisted by her daddy! Josh strapped Kate on and headed for the swings. After being "beaten" by two other kids for open swings, Josh and Kate hopped on for her first swing. She didn't know what to think! Her arms were making a pumping motion and eventually she found a good grip on the chains.
Kate was wiped out after that fun day at the park!

Sooooooo thankful for a perfect park day. Seriously, the next day there was 70 degree (that's no mistake) temperature difference from the day before! There was snow on the ground and record breaking temperatures! Winter, you're crazy!!
