Fabulous February

February was fast but fabulous! Our schedule was full, spending every weekend in a different place. As I look back on our February, I can't help but think that God pieced together every stitch of that schedule! There was NO WAY I could have made all the dates work out and fit together the way they did. A Sunday here, a Wednesday there, another Sunday there, another Wednesday, and then two more Sundays in two different places.

Wednesday, February 5: FBC Roanoke AWANA
We shared with the students about how God's Word in your own language is truly a treasure! There are many around the world that do not even have John 3:16 (For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son so that who ever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life.) in their heart language, the language they express emotion in. We went on a treasure hunt, and I shared a story of a young man who went on an eight month journey with many "bumps" along the way so that he could learn how to translate God's Word into his language.

Sunday, February 9: Peachtree BC, Jasper, Texas
We loaded up the family van and headed to southeast Texas to share at Peachtree. We stayed in a wonderful cabin along the lake. It was a wonderful place to rest, relax, and enjoy our time together with friends from university. One of my favorite parts of testifying about the work the Lord is doing in Papua, is sharing about the work He has done in my life- healing Kate. I love it and I still get SO excited about it even after so many months. She's a miracle.

Wednesday, February 12: Landmark BC, Ardmore, Oklahoma
We had a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with a sweet family that we met in Indonesia. They invited us to share with their church and we gladly accepted! Here we shared about the work we're apart of and had a blind taste test of items we've actually eaten in Papua. Thanks, Landmark BC for loving on us!

Sunday, February 16: The Rock, Runaway Bay, Texas
This is a special place for us. When we learned that we would be living in Bridgeport we started looking online at churches in the area. The Rock was the second church we went to and where we stayed. I remember the first Sunday we went because Kate was born the following Friday. Everyone was SO sweet to us. It felt comfortable, like this is the place we needed to be going while we were at the farm. We enjoyed plugging in where we could. Josh helped paint the floor of the site of a new church. We purchased presents for a young boy and girl for Christmas. We loved our time at the Rock! They are all about reaching out to those around you, in whatever way possible- even playing crazy games! Thanks, the Rock, for making us feel like we're family!

Sunday, February 23: Crossroads BC, Elysian Fields, Texas
The last weekend in February we took a drive to the Piney Woods of East Texas and shared at Crossroads. Crossroads was the first and only church I went to during my time in university. I left a piece of my heart there when I graduated and LOVE going back for visits. It was special bringing Kate back and watching my "family" love on her. We stayed with a precious woman who storms the gates of Heaven for us daily. We had opportunities to reconnect with friends, and I left with an overflowing, sloshing all over the ground love tank.

February has come and gone. We'll be leaving Texas on Tuesday, March 11 and head to Washington State. We'll spend some time with our family and our church family before leaving for Indonesia on March 20!

February was fabulous! We loved seeing you, hugging you, and sharing life with you!
